USA Express was founded in Los Angeles in 1998 by Harry Kazakian — a licensed private investigator, independent claims adjuster, and former EMT who spent decades inside the insurance and litigation world before building a firm of his own. Co-founded with his business and life partner, Gina Kazakian, it was one of the first legal support and investigative services companies established in the city.
Harry spent over two decades as a claims adjuster for a major insurance carrier, including more than ten years as a first responder and EMT. He built his investigative career from the ground up — working accident scenes, conducting witness interviews, and handling catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases that demanded both field skill and courtroom credibility. Over his career, he has mediated more than 4,000 cases and provided expert testimony in civil and criminal proceedings.
He has been recognized as a Top Investigator by the Wall Street Journal, named to Marquis Who’s Who in America, and in 2025 received the Lifetime Achievement Award and Investigator of the Year from the International Association of Top Professionals. He is a member of the Forbes Business Council and has served as Governor of the San Fernando Valley District of the California Association of Licensed Investigators.
What Harry and Gina built in LA has grown into a nationally recognized firm with offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Diego — and a field network that reaches across the country. The work ethic and standards from day one have not changed. The team, technology, and infrastructure behind them have grown to match what modern litigation demands.
For 28 years, our company has been built on a strong foundation of investigative expertise and insurance industry experience. Prior to founding the company, Harry and Gina worked for a major insurance carrier, where they handled Special Investigation Unit (SIU) cases as well as complex litigation files. The knowledge, skills, and professional standards developed in those roles became the cornerstone of USA Express and continue to guide our approach today.
