Nationwide In-Person Filing Service

When a document must be filed directly at the courthouse — whether due to a court requirement, an emergency deadline, or the nature of the filing itself — USA Express provides reliable in-person filing services across California and in all 50 states. Our team handles the logistics so your filing gets to the right clerk’s office, on time, with confirmation in hand.

What Is In-Person Filing?

In-person filing is the physical delivery and submission of legal documents directly to a court clerk’s office. Unlike e-filing, which is handled electronically, in-person filing requires a representative to appear at the courthouse, present the documents, and obtain a file-stamped copy as confirmation. Certain courts, case types, and emergency situations require or prefer this method — and a missed filing can jeopardize the entire case.

In-person filing is required or preferred in a number of situations, including: filing in courts that do not yet accept electronic submissions, submitting original documents that require physical inspection or wet signatures, filing on an emergency or ex parte basis where same-day processing is needed, and correcting rejected e-filings that must be re-submitted in person. Our team is familiar with the filing rules and procedures across California courts and can advise on what each situation requires.

USA Express handles in-person filings at courthouses throughout California, including courts in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Orange County, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura, and surrounding jurisdictions. We can also coordinate in-person filings in courts across all 50 states through our national network. With offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Diego, we have deep local knowledge in California’s major legal markets and the reach to support your matter wherever it is filed.

We offer same-day and rush in-person filing services. For same-day service, documents should be submitted to our team as early in the morning as possible to allow sufficient time for courthouse processing windows. Our operations team will confirm receipt, provide status updates, and deliver file-stamped copies upon completion. Protecting your deadlines protects your case — contact our team directly for urgent matters.
